“In 1989 I found myself invited to six baby showers in a five-week period of time. My idea was to give a useful and unique gift to my friends. Since new parents never really have “too many” diapers, I wanted to create a decorative way of giving an ordinary but much needed gift. All six shower gifts were similar yet completely custom made. This made them unique in the eyes of each recipient.  The rest, as they say, is babycake^TM  history..."
